William Alwyn (1905 - 1985) was one of our finest composers with a wealth of repertoire from orchestral to film scores, ensemble to choral.

Thursday 3 October 2019. A Concert Performance of Alwyn's opera 'Miss Julie' at the Barbican Concert Hall, Barbican, London commencing at 7.30pm. Soloists with the BBC Symphony Orchestra Conducted by Sakari Oramo. A BBC Radio 3 broadcast will follow at a later date. Click here to see more.

Wednesday 6 November 2019. Alwyn's beautiful Harp Concerto 'Lyra Angelica' to be performed by Xavier de Maistre with the London Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted by Lawrence Renes at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London commencing at 7.30pm. Click here to see more.
